The group INFINITE leader Sung
Kyu heralded a different transformation through the musical "King's
Boots."
"INFINITE Sung Kyu has been
cast as 'Charlie' in the musical 'King's Boots', which confirmed his fourth
season performance in August," his agency Woollim Entertainment said on
the 18th.
Sung Kyu plays Charlie, a
life-changing growth character who challenges making 80 centimeters of
"King Key Boots" to revive the failing shoe factory in "King Key
Boots." Sung Kyu will meet the audience with his unique tone and appealing
acting.
Sung Kyu, who will show his own
color through "King Key Boots," said, "It's such an honor to be
with 'Charlie' in 2020," adding, "I want to meet the audience on
stage as soon as possible." In particular, Sung-kyu's performance, which
will deliver a fresh shock to the audience with his first work since his
discharge from the military, is already drawing keen attention.
INFINITE main vocalist Sung Kyu
has grown into a multi-talented entertainer, working in various fields such as
K-pop, entertainment and musicals. Sung Kyu, who entered the musical scene in
2012 starting with "Gwanghwamun Sonata," has since emerged as a
talented actor, standing out in famous works such as "In the
Heights," "All-Shoot Up" and "Amadeus."
Starring Sung Kyu, "King's
Boots" was first released in 2014, and has become a box office repertoire
in name and reality, surpassing 300,000 cumulative audiences in Korea with just
three season performances.
Meanwhile, the musical
"King's Boots," starring Sung Kyu, will open at Interpark Hall in
Blue Square in Seoul on August 21.
