Singer and musical actor Lee
Seok-Hoon will return as Charlie in his first life character, King's Boots.
On the 18th, C9 Entertainment
said, "Lee Seok-Hoon will continue to play in the Broadway musical 'King's
Boots', which represents Korea, for the first time in two years."
"King's Boots" is a well-made musical directed by Jerry Mitchell and written/composed by Cindy Lauper, which has been loved by Broadway and people around the world. Following CJ ENM's successful presentation of the world's first licensed performance in Korea in 2014, CJ ENM ranked No. 1 for 20 consecutive weeks in 2016, and the third season in 2018 also attracted 100,000 cumulative audiences in just 73 performances, recording an average audience share of 92% and just three seasonal performances, making it a successful repertoire.
Lee Seok-Hoon, who made his
musical debut with "King's Boots" two years ago, was praised as
"Love him!" by original director Jerry Mitchell for his natural
singing and excellent musical interpretation during the audition, and met and played
an active role in his first life character, Charlie.
Lee Seok-Hoon, who also plays
Charlie, who challenges making 80cm "King's Boots" to revive the shoe
factory this time, said, "I'm honored and excited to meet you in a
beautiful role of "Charlie" in two years. Rather than expressing a
better image, I will comfortably immerse myself in the character. Please look
forward to it.
Lee Seok-Hoon, who has emerged as
a musical actor in name by winning titles such as "Gwanghwamun
Sonata" and "Smiling Man" after appearing in "King's
Boots," will again convey a thrilling impression to the audience with his
excellent character digestion and solid singing skills.
King's Boots will open at
Interpark Hall in Blue Square on August 21.
