PlayM rookie girl group Weeekly
received a "special lesson" from the entertainment show
"one-stroke instructor" Apink.
On the afternoon of the 3rd,
Global K-pop Channel Brand (1theK) released the second episode of the new girl
group Weeekly's first reality show "Play M Rookie Development Team"
(planned-produced by 1theK, hereinafter "New People Development
Team") on its official YouTube channel.
The "Rookie Development
Team" is a new concept debut reality designed to allow the public to share
Weeekly's intensive training process from the closest point of view under the
concept of a secret rookie development department in the basement of the
agency. Weeekly's reality show, which will be released four times in total,
drew keen attention from K-pop fans right after its release, as the first
episode video, which was unveiled on the 27th of last month, surpassed 600,000
views on YouTube.
In the newly released second
episode, Apink's Cho Rong and Bo Mi made a surprise appearance as an
entertainment show "One-Brave Instructor," drawing attention as they
took part in a special lesson for rookie Weeekly.
Upon hearing the news of
Weeekly's debut, Apink's Cho Rong and Bo Mi are rumored to have willingly
decided to make a surprise reality show with support for them.
Thanks to their support, Weeekly showed off their hidden charms by continuing rigorous step-by-step lessons ranging from practicing to becoming an "ending fairy" under the guidance of top girl group Apink to expressive lessons and dance initiation ceremonies. Weeekly, who showed "passion" energy with a confident sense of entertainment that caught people off guard with cover performances, crazy dances, and vocal mimicry, drew laughter from viewers as she heralded the rise of the next "entertainment idol."
After finishing Apink's
"Short-Term Attributes" point lesson, the Weeekly members said,
"It was the best class that only we could take. It was a very happy and
informative class." "I really thank my seniors and I want to be an idol
who can grow further based on this experience," they said.
Apink Cho-rong and Bo-mi also
expressed their humble feelings, saying, "I wanted to help you more
because I thought a lot about you at the beginning of your debut, but I learned
more." "I hope Weeekly will be a loved group for a long time,"
she said. "Congratulations on your debut and I will monitor you every day
when the song comes out." She also cheered for her junior Weeekly's debut activities.
Weeekly (Lee Soo-jin, Monday,
Ji-han, Shin Ji-yoon, Park So-eun, Joa, and Lee Jae-hee), a seven-member girl
group launched by PlayM in about 10 years after Apink, will make their debut in
June based on the catchphrase "Giving a New and Special Week Every
Day." Weeekly's first reality show "Rookie Development Team,"
which is serialized before its official debut, airs every Wednesday at 8 p.m.
on 1TheK's original YouTube and official SNS channels, Melon and Kakao TV.
