The debut reality of Weeekly, Weeekly's new girl group that has been shown in PlayM for the first time in 10 years, has taken a successful first step.
Global K-pop channel brand 1theK unveiled the first episode of Weeekly's first reality show "Play M Rookie Development Team" on its original YouTube and SNS channels on the 27th.
1theK's program, "Rookie Development Team," is a new concept debut reality designed to allow the public to share the intensive training process before Weekly's debut from the closest point of view under the concept of a rookie development department that secretly exists underground in the agency.
In the first episode of the day, the members of Weeekly, who began a mission to acquire the basic virtues of idols, were depicted. Through the "Star-style" intensive course delivered by the mysterious basement rookie development team, Weeekly showed off her 100% pure charm along with her hidden entertainment and 100% pure charm, with unprecedented harsh training, ranging from "Profil-shooting" using props containing each member's individuality to "camera testing" to "high fashion digesting" for photo shoots.
Weeekly's debut reality show has been receiving enthusiastic responses since its first episode. In particular, in the second episode trailer released at the end of the video, Cho Rong and Bo Mi of the agency's senior girl group Apink started supporting as a "one-shot instructor" of the program, raising expectations further by heralding a "spicy" training for the junior Weeekly.
The seven-member girl group Weeekly(Lee Soo-jin, Monday, Ji-han, Shin Ji-yoon, Park So-eun, Joa, and Lee Jae-hee), which will be launched by PlayM in about 10 years since Apink, is set to debut in June based on the catchphrase, "We Will Give You a New and Special Week Every Day," and its first V Live broadcast has continued to be high hits.
Meanwhile, Weeekly's debut reality show 'Rookie Development Team' airs every Wednesday at 8 p.m. for a total of four weeks on 1theK original YouTube and official SNS channels, Melon and Kakao TV.
