Fan & Star, a website that delivers information on idol rankings, launched Ryeowook's birthday event on May 22. It is a global fan-sympathetic project in which advertisements celebrating his birthday are posted throughout Seoul.
A project is a support-type event in which domestic and foreign fans can participate together, and success depends on the number of stars (points that can be collected on the site).
When 20,000 stars are gathered in the project, a congratulatory video will be shown on the CM board at Hapjeong Station in Seoul. When the number of stars reaches 45,000, congratulatory images will also be sent to the SM board at Gangnam Station. In addition, super-special products such as large electronic display boards at the entrance to Hongdae, digital advertisements at Lotte Department Store in Jamsil, and 1-day packages at Jamsil, Myeongdong, and Dongdaemun are waiting for fans.
Currently, Ryeowook's birthday event has 8,498 stars gathered. With the event running through June 7, attention is being paid to whether more stars can gather for the rest of the year.
Meanwhile, Super Junior-K.R.Y., which includes Ryeowook, will release its first mini-album "When We Were Us" on June 8.
