Weekly idol ranking website Fan & Star held a surprise event for Jang on Tuesday. It is a global advertising project to celebrate his birthday on April 8. Jang Woo-hyuk's birthday event will be a success with the number of stars donated by fans (points collected on the site). The more stars gather, the more celebratory advertisements are posted in various places.
If 20,000 stars gather for the project, a congratulatory advertisement will be sent to the CM Board (Sagak Column) at Hapjeong Station in Mapo-gu, Seoul. If the number of stars surpass 45,000, there will also be a congratulatory advertisement on the SM board (wall) at Gangnam Station. In addition, ultra-special products are available from outdoor advertisements in Hongdae to electronic boards at Shinokubo Station in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan.
Earlier, "Fan & Star" opened Jang Woo-hyuk's birthday project on April 12 last year. Ninety,839 stars gathered with the enthusiastic love of fans at home and abroad. In time for Jang Woo-hyuk's birthday on May 8, 43 subway stations on Seoul Subway Line 2, advertisements for CGV previews in Apgujeong, multi-vision at Hongdae Station and travel buses exclusively for foreigners were held.
Jang Woo-hyuk is expected to receive a special birthday gift this year, following last year. The event will run through April 26. Meanwhile, any fan can apply for the Idol Anniversary Ad event offered by "Fan & Star.
