
The group BTS has set a new record for the most sales of Korean singers, surpassing 4.11 million copies with the album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7"
According to the monthly album chart for February 2020, released by Gaon Chart, a South Korean music chart, on March 12, BTS' fourth full-length album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7" topped the list with sales of 4.11,843 copies in nine days since they released on Feb. 21.
With this, BTS broke the monthly record of 3,229,032 Gaon Chart and the annual record of 3,71,230 set last year with "MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA."
In addition, the record number of Korean singers who sold 3,399,302 copies, released by British Guinness World Records in June last year, surpassed the previous record, proving BTS' global status once again.
Meanwhile, BTS has been making history day after day, topping music charts not only in Korea but also in the U.S., Britain, Australia, and Japan.
The title track "ON," including the first Korean singer to top the U.S. "Billboard 200" for four consecutive albums, stands at No. 4 on Billboard's "Hot 100," proving they presence by breaking the top ranking of the Korean group on their own.
