U.S. Billboard columnist Jeff Benjamin highlighted the group Rocket Punch.
Jeff Benjamin, a columnist for Billboard, a popular U.S. music media outlet, announced on his SNS on Feb. 11 that Rocket Punch topped the U.S. iTunes K-pop album chart.
Jeff Benjamin cheered by introducing the chart No. 1, saying, "Rocket Punch is proving their competence as a mainstream rookie group by topping the U.S. iTunes K-pop album chart with 'RED PUNCH' and ranking 75th on the top album chart of all genres."
In addition to the United States, Rocket Punch has ranked global, starting with the top seven countries on iTunes K-pop album charts, including Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Cambodia and Chile, and entering TOP10s in 15 countries, starting with Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Britain, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia and Canada.
Also, Rocket Punch's music video for "BOUNCY" has surpassed 3 million views in just 12 hours since its release, with 6 million views in just one day. Rocket Punch's title track "BOUNCY" is a teen-crush genre pop dance song with a powerful yet hip vibe, adding a refreshing rap and powerful vocals to the lyrics featuring Kitsch style and utopia to further enhance the completion of the song.
The song shows the Rocket Punch members' strong aspirations for the future, especially as shown in the lyrics "I wanna hit the world with rocket punch," which calls for the world.
Meanwhile, Rocket Punch launched their full-fledged activities through music broadcast programs, starting with Mnet's "M Countdown" on Feb. 13.
