
The powerful oriental medicine of girl group Rocket Punch is gaining huge popularity not only in Korea but also abroad.
RED PUNCH, the second mini album of Rocket Punch released at 6 p.m. on Feb. 10, has become a global hot spot, topping iTunes K-pop albums charts in five regions of the U.S., Australia, Hong Kong, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
The fact that the album has been released at the top of the iTunes K-pop album chart in 14 foreign regions, including Japan, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Chile, Britain, Thailand, Russia, Canada and Indonesia, is drawing attention, as well as being supported by the global nation, less than a day after it was released.
Also, Rocket Punch’s music video for "BOUNCY" surpassed 3 million views as of 6 a.m. on Feb. 11, 12 hours after its release, attracting many fans’ eyes and ears, as well as abroad.
Rocket Punch’s title track, "BOUNCY," is a teen crush genre of pop dance that has a strong yet hip atmosphere, adding a refreshing rap and powerful vocals to the lyrics featuring "Kitsch" look and idealism, which further enhances the completion of the song. In particular, the song shows the Rocket Punch members’ strong aspirations for the future, as shown in the lyrics "I WANNA HIT THE WORLD WITH ROCKET PUNCH."
Meanwhile, Rocket Punch began full-fledged activities through music broadcasting programs starting with Mnet’s "M Countdown" on Feb. 13.
