BTS POP-UP: HOUSE OF BTS, a complex experience space introduced by the group BTS, met 180,000 visitors for 80 days. Big Hit Entertainment, BTS’ agency, thanked fans for visiting BTS Pop-Up: HOUSE OF BTS for 80 days on its official SNS channel on Saturday and announced the end of its official operation.
The BTS POP-UP: HOUSE OF BTS, which opened on Oct. 18, is a complex experience space where users can enjoy BTS-related content in various forms, including not only MD but also BTS’ music video and character-themed showrooms, and it is estimated that the number of visitors reached 180,000 by Jan. 5. Despite adjusting the maximum number of passengers per day to about 2,200 for a smooth viewing, it was operated amid great interest and support from fans visiting not only South Korea but also around the world.
Unlike previous pop-up stores that were held with the world tour, BTS has made headlines since its opening by upgrading the size, duration and content of its operation so that many fans can continue to visit it. It introduced not only the MD using BTS’ portrait but also BTS’ music-themed MDs such as "DNA," "MIC Drop," "FAKE LOVE" and "IDOL" for the first time, and continued to attract fans by offering various gifts and on-site events offered on special occasions such as the birthdays of BTS members.
In addition, BTS members have been much loved as a space of memories for their fans, with visiting in person and taking photos at sites where they left authentications and handwritten letters as a must-have course among their fans.
Meanwhile, the BTS Pop-Up: HOUSE OF BTS has been operating in three cities - Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka - from Nov. 23 to Dec. 29, 2019 and will open a pop-up store in Mexico City for the first time in South America on Dec. 13 and meet fans until Jan. 26.
"BTS POP-UP: HOUSE OF BTS, through its 80 days of operation, has become a place where BTS and fans share memories together," Big Hit Entertainment said. "We look forward to introducing another pop-up store in various regions in the future, as it has received huge acclaim from fans around the world."
