VERIVERY returned on January 7 with their third mini album, "FACE ME," and started their New Year's Day with a new album that has never been shown before with the title track "Lay Back." The title track "Lay Back" carries the message, "Don’t be afraid and face me more honestly."
The music video for the new song drew keen attention as it has recorded 1.9 million views not long after it was released due to the fast-growing number of views. As a result, the music video for "Lay Back" attracts our attention.
First of all, the scene that is considered the highlight of the "Lay Back" music video is a military spectacle that cannot be taken away. The scene of the VERIVERY members facing themselves is an intuitive capture of the story of "I Face Me," which means "FACE ME," the name of the album. Above the powerful yet restrained movements, VERIVERY’s charismatic expressions are added, and more clearly conveying the message they want to convey.
In addition, VERIVERY presents various types of "I" in various ways along with school uniform styling, which represents youth, as well as in practice rooms and vacant spaces, to further maximize the message of the song.
Meanwhile, VERIVERY continues to be active, starting with the comeback performance of Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on January 9.
