Singer YOUNHA’s new mini-album "UNSTABLE MINDSET" was released on her online music site before on Jan. 6.
DOKO, who produced "On A Rainy Day" with her previous album "STABLE MINDSET," has increased her maturity by joining the title track "Dark Cloud." In addition, YOUNHA has been in the hot spotlight of K-pop music fans at home and abroad even before its release, launching a new musical attempt in collaboration with BTS RM.
This is the first new report to be released in six months since the "Stable Mindset" in July last year.
How do you feel?
“I enjoyed the whole work because I was able to present a complete series. I'm excited and excited about the review because it will be fun for each person to open the details.”
What is the reason and background of producing a series of albums in summer, winter and season?
“As I prepared my summer mini-album, there were many good songs and things I wanted to include, so I expanded to two albums. I was worried about how to connect the context of the series, but the coincidence, the creators' plan, and listener’s interpretation all became a three-time piece, which made me proud.”
You worked with producer DOKO once again following his previous work. How was the second job?
“DOKO is a really talented producer. Beyond simply producing tracks and touching sound, there is a high understanding of the artist’s color. When I first heard the title track "On A Rainy Day," I was surprised to find a song that would be unanimous once again. ‘Dark Cloud’ is entirely DOKO’s project. I'd like to say thank you again.”
Tell me how you feel and how you work with BTS RM. And what is the memorable episode?
“Many years ago, RM used to talk about wanting to collaborate from the point before the release of the album "RescuE." However, he failed to suggest otherwise because he could not find a suitable subject or synergistic music. Meanwhile, Eddie drew a picture and finally sent an official love call. We worked over the wire because time was not easy to coordinate with each other, but we communicated by exchanging so many prose in e-mail with the subject of the lyrics. We ended up praising each other for fighting this well.”
What message would you like to send through “UNSTABLE MINDSET”?
“No wonder everyone is shaken and unaware, and I would like to convey the message that ‘growth’ is not something special, but a process of getting used to it.”
What if you're looking for a new piece of music to plan or challenge in 2020?
“Rather than looking for something new, I want to create opportunities to put my hands on what I've done. Please look forward to seeing you back in 2020.”
