K-pop King EXO’s hit "Obsession" topped Billboard’s Best K-pop Song of the Year.
EXO has once again realized their global power by topping "Obsession," the title track of their sixth full-length album, on "The 25 Best K-pop Songs of 2019: Critics" Picks, which was released on their official website on Dec. 29.
"It's the most attractive song to show the dark side of the EXO. EXO has provided another amazing piece of music with ‘Obsession’ and proved that the EXO, who has held the K-pop crown for more than seven years, can continue to stand firm," Billboard said.
Regarding the NCT 127 English single "Highway to Heaven," which ranked 16th in the latest release, they explained, "This is a power pop ballad genre that highlights the melodic elements compared to the hip-hop-based songs that NCT 127 has shown, making the members' vocals more intense and attractive."
