B1A4 Gongchan is set to make his first screen debut with the film 'Young Soo.'

On Dec. 13, his agency WM Entertainment said, "Gongchan was cast as the lead role in the film 'Young So'’” and cranked in on Dec. 7.

Young Soo is a retro-style Hagwon action film, in which the production team of 2009's hit Hagwon action film ‘Wind’ is re-produced in a decade, and Megapone is directed by Kim Hyung-ki.

The character, played by Gongchan, is a timid but not servile, weak-looking but loyal character. His role is to live with hope even in a situation where his father failed in business.

The youngest member of the B1A4 is a pretty boy in the idol scene and recently starred in the playlist's new film, "DEAR MY NAME." His handsome appearance and emotional performance earned him great acclaim.

Meanwhile, the film 'Young Soo' was cranked in on December 7 and is due for release in 2020.
