Singer-songwriter OOHYO is returning with her new song 'Butter Chicken.’

OOHYO unveiled the music and music videos of her new song "Butter Chicken" on Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. and through major online music sites such as Melon. The new song by OOHYO comes about eight months after her second full-length album "Far From the Madding City," which was released in April.

Earlier on Dec. 6, OOHYO released a teaser video for the music video of the title song "Butter Chicken" on her official SNS and YouTube channels, adding to fans' expectations ahead of the release of the new song.

The video shows a black background and an inverted apricot color moving in geometric shapes around part of the new song's melody, conveying unique sensibilities of OOHYO, adding to expectations for the new song ahead of its release.

Unlike its unique title, OOHYO's new song "Butter Chicken" is a song of the Shens-pop genre with an in-depth message about discovering meaning and hope in what many people consider obvious and meaningless.

In particular, French indie band Coral Pink, who previously worked with OOHYO's second full-length album "BRAVE," will add more energy to the arrangement and add more sympathy to the risers with more solid music.

Prior to the release of this new song, OOHYO delivered a message saying, “Thanks to everyone for another simple track, another cliché, but I can share with you this album. Artist OOHYO, whose 2014 mini album "Girl Sense" and the following year's full-length album "Adventure," released a series of warm music comforting wounds, including "Youth," "Dandelion" and "Honey Tea," which have been active on the indie scene.

Also, the single "PIZZA," released in 2017, has been in the spotlight since its surprise release through music sites around the world, continuing a rare global move in indie, including the release of LPs in the Japanese music market and holding a showcase there.

Meanwhile, OOHYO's new song "Butter Chicken" was available at 6 p.m. on Dec. 11 on major music sites at home and abroad, including Melon, the nation's largest music platform.
