The group BTS made another big mark in Korean pop music history by winning three gold medals at the American Music Awards, a prestigious U.S. pop music awards show.

BTS won prizes for "Pop/Rock" genre Favorite Duo or Group," "Tour of the Year" and "Favorite Social Artist" at the "2019 American Music Awards" at Microsoft Concert Hall in Los Angeles on Nov. 24.

This marked a triumph for BTS to win three consecutive U.S. major music awards at this year's Billboard Music Awards, following two gold medals in "Top Duo/Group" and "Top Social Artist."

They also won the American Music Awards this year, becoming the first Korean singer to win the award for the second consecutive years.

On that day, BTS made a video of the award in English. In their first impression of the pop/rock genre Favorite Duo or Group, BTS said, “We are honored to receive this meaningful award. As we spent six and a half years as a group, so many dreams came true. All of this was possible because of you ARMY.

Without all the love and support from all over the world, all of this would have been impossible. I will continue to do my best to return the love you have given me. ”
