BLACKPINK became the first K-pop group who owns three music videos with 700 million-view.
BLACKPINK's music video for "AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST" surpassed 700 million views on YouTube at 0:51 on Oct. 31. To mark the occasion, YG Entertainment released a congratulatory message on its official blog showing the group during BLACKPINK's "AS IF IT"S YOUR LAST" activities.
"AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST," released in June 2017, is a dance song where addictive melodies catch the ear from the beginning. “As if this is my last love, I ask you to love me with all your strength.”
The music video for "AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST," which expresses the upbeat song vibe as it is, can feel the appeal of BLACKPINK to the fullest. The music video, which was released along with the song, has gained steady attention from fans over two years ago, achieving 700 million views.
Through the music video for "AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST," as well as the music video for "BOOMBAYAH," which surpassed 700 million views earlier, and the music video for "DDU-DU DDU-DU," which set the K-pop group's first 900 million views, BLACKPINK will have only three music videos for the first time.
In particular, the music video for "DDU-DU DDU-DU," released in June last year, is set to surpass 1 billion views. Attention is focusing on whether BLACKPINK will set the record for achieving the 1 billion views music video for the first time by a K-pop group within this year.
Since releasing its second mini-album "KILL THIS LOVE" in April this year, BLACKPINK has completed its first world tour, which has performed 32 times in 23 cities on four continents.
It will then host four domed tours in three Japanese cities, at Tokyo Dome in December, Kyocera Dome in Osaka in January next year and Yahoo Oak Dome in Fukuoka in February.
