OnlyOneOf released its second mini-album, "Line Sun Goodness," on Oct. 30. It is the first result in five months since their debut album "Dot Point Jump" in May. The title song "Sage" focused on its dynamic performance, along with its sullen and breathless rhythmic development.
The agency's 8dcreative RSVP said that "OnlyOneOf’s second mini-album is an album of the process of moving to the line," adding that there is storytelling that is symbolic and connected to the previous song throughout the song, music video, and performance. "You can feel more than just music."
#1. Wear a music story
Although the beginning is only a small point, the OnlyOneOf identity is to create a solid side by connecting the dots and taking a leap. 'Line sun goodness' is the second theme of the series that runs through dots, lines, and faces. Thus, the previous book's worldview and the story continued and expanded.
The debut song "Savana," the upcoming title track "Sage," and the song "Desert" are on hand, and "Time Machine" exists as a follow-up to the previous song "Time Leaf." "OnlyOneOf you," which was known as a fan song, leads to "OnlyOneOf me."
# 2. Overwhelming scale MV
The music video for "Sage" was directed by ETUI, which is known as the "God of Sensation." Following "Savana," we worked together once again. It boasts the overwhelming sense of hyperscale, blockbuster movie-free scale and suction power. Also, various codes and stories were hidden in different parts of the video, leading to several interpretations by viewers. It strengthens the structural worldview of the upcoming series of points, lines, and faces.
# 3. Dynamic Performance
Performance that has evolved a notch was also shown. The performance of "Sage," designed by top choreographers and members local and international, made the music's message clearer. The so-called "Domino kalgumu." Starting with member Junji's sliding on the climax in the second half, he completed a performance in the form of dominoes and waves.
# 4. Self-production
You can also check out the OnlyOneOf's level of self-production ability with the album. The members' self-composed songs, which included two songs in their first album, have been increased to three this time. It accounts for half of the total 6 track album. Leaders LOVE and NINE composed track "Desert" for the fourth, while the 5 track "You-Stand-NINE" was composed by KB, LOVE and NINE, while KB and NINE even worked on the arrangement. The last track, "OnlyOneOf Me," was also composed by KB and NINE, and was placed on the credit of the arrangement.
"We've worked hard to make sure that we can talk about a variety of different things with one album," said OnlyOneOf. "Evolution is constantly trying to become an artist. I hope many people enjoy the upgraded OnlyOneOf music," they said.
