
Girls' Generation's TaeYeon, who made a comeback with her second full-length album "Purpose," is running in the first place.
TaeYeon's second full-length album "Purpose," released in October, includes Brazil, Mexico, India, the United Arab Emirates, Brunei, Cambodia, Chile, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Macau, Malaysia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam on the iTunes Top Album Chart. It ranked No. 1 in 21 regions around the world, confirming TaeYeon's global popularity as it marks the highest-ever number of top-selling Korean female solo artist albums.
Also, the album has topped the sales charts of China's biggest music sites QQ Music, KuGou Music, and Kuwo Music Digital Albums, while the music video for the title song "Spark" has also been receiving a heated response, topping the Korean music section of the QQ Music music video chart.
Also on its official website on Oct. 28, Billboard, a popular U.S. media outlet, introduced TaeYeon's new album, saying, "As a collection of soulful pop music, it shows how she found her life's purpose through music. TaeYeon talks about life and love and the hopeful feeling of going through a hard time permeates the entire album, especially the new song "Spark," she sheds light on.
Meanwhile, TaeYeon appeared on JTBC's music entertainment show "Beginagain3," which aired on Nov. 1.
