Boy group ONEUS has announced its green light for its debut in Japan.
The agency RBW said that ONEUS' debut single "Twilight," which officially debuted in Japan in August, has sold more than 60,000 copies. It is an unusual and encouraging achievement for a rookie group composed of Korean members. On the day of the release of the debut single, we laid the foundation for our successful debut in Japan, including making it to No. 3 on the Oricon Daily Chart.”
ONEUS made its official debut in the Japanese market with its debut single "Twilight" on Aug. 7.
At that time, ONEUS was the top seller of the 2,000-seat showcase at TOYOSU PIT in Tokyo, as well as the Japanese Tower Records' all-store chain on the day of its release.
As such, ONEUS made a successful debut in Korea in January this year and also performed well in its debut in Japan in August, marking its prominence as the next K-pop singer.
Also, as the tour is scheduled to take place in 6 cities in the Americas in early November, attention is being paid to ONEUS's global moves.
Having debuted in the K-pop scene in January this year, ONEUS not only continued to grow steadily through its "US" trilogy, but also gained the epitome of "stage genius" for its outstanding singing skills and energy-efficient performances.
Recently, it has emerged as a "global trend" with its new song "LIT" to enter the U.S. Billboard World Digital Song Sales and World Albums charts with its Korean-style and upbeat performance.
Meanwhile, ONEUS is wrapping up its "LIT" activities for the Americas tour.
