AKMU is constantly agonizing, signaling a deeper
music world. The studio for Lee Suhyun's solo album has also been released.
YG Entertainment unveiled the third installment of
AKMU's album-maker video "SAILING Diary" on its official blog on Oct.
25.
The video footage showed Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee
Suhyun communicating with other artists in the recording studio, as well as the
two's interviews were cross-edited, giving a glimpse into their intense agony
over their music. AKMU said, "We've
been thinking about the popularity of the album, but this time we've released
an album that we want to do," adding, "It's very touching to get so much love, but on the other hand, I
think it's very ironic."
Lee Chan-hyuk admitted that there was a burden from
images that were imprinted on the public during SBS' "K-pop Star Season
2" in the past, but said the latest "hang" removed the pressure.
"I think it was hard for me to show
my true self in the last activity," he said. “But with this album, it's been solved a lot," he said.
AKMU was agonizing over its next album, not resting
on the favorable reviews it received. AKMU prepared new stories by steadily
working on music in the recording studio.
The release of Lee Suhyun's solo album was also
hinted at. Introducing the songs that she had been working on for her solo
album, Suhyun said, "I'd like to
release the solo album sometime before it gets cold next year, but I'd like to
release the song when I get satisfied." She added, "I want to be a little more comfortable
for the public. That's why I want to do more familiar music with subjects that
I can easily relate to,” she also said as a solo artist.
Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Suhyun expressed unusual
feelings, recalling the footsteps of AKMU music. They were determined not only
to focus on getting out of the past music color but to take a silent step.
Lastly, Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Suhyun had a fantastic
breathing session that only brother and sister could show. Sitting in the trunk
of the car, the two improvised a song about how they felt they were unable to
shoot because of the rain. Su-hyun's perfect breath ended "Why is it so
perfect that it's instant fun?"
AKMU released its third full-length album "SAILING"
on Sept. 25 and continues its record streak. The title track "How do I love to break up,I
Love You" remains at the top of the real-time music charts a month
after its release, and has topped the Gaon Chart Digital and Streaming charts
for three consecutive weeks, boasting the power of music.
AKMU will embark on a nationwide tour and meet fans,
starting with "AKMU TOUR IN Seoul," which will be held at Seoul's
Kyunghee University Peace Hall on Dec. 14 and 15.
