
TWICE broke the K-pop girl group's initial
record.
TWICE's eighth mini album "Feel
Special," released on September 23, achieved sales of some 154,000 copies
based on the Hantor chart on Monday, setting a milestone for the girl group's
record sales.
As of Sept. 30, TWICE also topped the Hantor
weekly album chart, proving the class's different popularity.
TWICE has a track record of surpassing the
highest sales figure for girl group initials with its seventh mini album
"FANCY YOU," released on April 22.
It broke its own record once again with
"Feel Special," proving the status of a K-pop one-top girl group.
As such, TWICE is still showing a steady
rise in popularity, setting new records on various charts whenever it releases
a new album.
TWICE, which has achieved 6.13 million
accumulated sales in Korea and Japan during its previous "FANCY YOU"
activities, has shown its meteoric effect of surpassing 7.5 million accumulated
sales through this album.
TWICE is working on a new history of K-pop
girl groups based on its efforts to change and grow steadily.
Attention is focusing on what other records
will be achieved through future activities.
Meanwhile, TWICE's new song, "Feel
Special," is a song featuring trendy melodies in lyrical messages. It has
become a hit, capturing the limelight with its colorful performance and sword
dance.
As well as dominating local music charts,
the eighth mini album topped iTunes album charts in 26 regions including the
U.S., achieving the feat of "12 consecutive hits."
On October 20, it will hold a fan meeting
'ONCE HALLOWEEN 2' to celebrate its 4th anniversary at Hwajeong Gymnasium of
Korea University in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul and meet with ONCE.
