AKMU will make its first comeback in two
years on Sept. 25 at 6 p.m., unveiling its third full-length album "SAILING"
on various music sites.
YG Entertainment raised expectations by
releasing a series of album-maker videos "SAILING LOG" at 10 a.m.,
including the "Akmu's comeback D-DAY poster at midnight and the comeback
counter at 9 a.m.
The video is set in the song
"CHANTEY," with confessions by Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Soo-hyun edited
at the intersection and offers a glimpse into AKMU's inner feelings that have
not been seen so far. Six years into his debut, AKMU's feelings are melted down
as it worked on Lee Chan-hyuk confession, "I feel the same way I did
before, but I don't have a song in my first album," and Lee pointed out,
"That's what changed." Lee Chan-hyuk, who said, "I really
yearned for the mature," also revealed his agony that he had not been able
to say, "AKMU was stuck in the image that it should always be fresh, and
there was such an obsession."
"I've never felt so agitated while
singing," confessed Lee. "I don't know why," he said. The video
ended with Lee Chan-hyuk's voice saying, "Well, that's very hard."
‘How can I love the heartbreak, you're the
one I love’?
AMKU, which will be making a comeback
today, said, "We'll be satisfied if the public feels that we're musicians
who are playing live music. Through the music that we missed the most and
wanted, we finally met you again." Thank you for waiting, and we hope to
see you that often."
The new album, "SAILING," covered
the theme of "Differential" across the board through the keyword
"Leave." The band released the heavy emotion of parting in a cool and
clear sound.
The title track "How can I Love the
Heartbreak, You're the One I Love" was an unfinished song that Lee
Chan-hyuk performed just before joining the military in 2017, but was selected
as the title of the new album after being minimally rearranged.
Following his previous album, Lee also
wrote and composed all of his songs and showed off his talent as a musician.
Lee Soo-hyun has been named as the arranger of track "Farewell" in
the ninth, giving an inkling of his musical growth.
Lee also wrote his first ever novel,
"Fish in the Water," which is linked to the album. It is expected
that you will be able to understand the connected world view through novels and
albums. The album and the novel will be released and released side by side on
Wednesday.
Afterwards, AKMU will hold an outdoor
Cheongum (Sailing of Autumn Night) at 7:30 p.m. on May 29 at Han River Park in
Yeouido, Seoul. With the band live performance, anyone can watch it for free
and it will be broadcast live online on Naver Now and V Live.
