Nine-year K-pop
girl group Apink Jeong Eunji will continue her solo career with overseas
concerts.
The agency PlayM
Entertainment said Thursday that it's solo concert "YEOREUM" at SHOW
DC ULTRA ARENA HALL in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sept. 22, when Jeong Eunji is next
month. “We will hold 'I' and meet with global fans," it said.
"Bangkok is a
city that I was not able to visit when I was on the tour in Asia last year, and
I decided to host the concert there, thanks to the fans' enthusiastic support.
It's my first visit to Bangkok on my own, and I'm working hard to prepare for
my first meeting with overseas fans in a long time," she added.
Jeong Eunji
recently performed solo concerts in Seoul and Busan. With the release of 'I,'
she has grown even more as a solo artist following her last concerts in Korea,
'The attic' and 'Hyehwa Station." By playing colorful genres, Jeong Eunji
proved her powerful role as a performing singer and consolidated her own color
by showing off her face as a singer-songwriter by releasing unpublished songs
she herself worked on.
Also, Jeong Eunji
is hot outside of Korea and abroad. Recently, she held her first solo Asian
tour in seven cities, including Taipei and Singapore, to meet some 15,000
global fans with her solo concert "Hyehwa," boasting a solid presence
not only as a member of the group Apink but also as a solo artist.
As news spread
that Jeong Eunji, the most loved female solo artist in Korea, will hold a solo
concert in Bangkok, global fans are already drawing keen attention.
Meanwhile, Jeong
Eunji is a DJ for KBS' CoolFM's "Gaer Square," as well as the group's
APINK activities, and has been performing in a variety of areas, including
launching a solo reality show, "Sydney Sunshine."
