
The group TWICE wrapped up its performance in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on the 2019 World Tour.
TWICE, which kicked off "TWICE WORLD TOUR 2019 'TWICELIGHTS' on May 25 (local time) in Songpa-gu, Malaysia, met with local fans on May 17 (local time).
TWICE gave a splendid performance and gave off TWICE's energy-generated charm with songs that were not only recorded in consecutive hits, but also songs that were newly prepared in remix versions, as well as performances by Sana-Dayeon-Ziwi, Momo-Ji-Hyo, Nayeon-Jeong-Mina-Chae-Young as a special stage.
The audience responded with "toothpicks," and for Mina, who is currently absent from the tour for health reasons, audience prepared an event to change her "candibong" to a mint color—which is unique to Mina—and a surprise video to impress the members. The members wished for Mina’s recovery by leaving a place for her in a group photo-certification photo shoot.
"We’re here to keep our promise to perform in Malaysia, and we’re so grateful for your support," TWICE said at the end of the concert. The performance was ranked No. 1 in the real-time trend on Twitter in Malaysia, and hundreds of fans flocked to the airport on TWICE's departure, realizing its hot local popularity.
TWICE has captivated Global Once with 10 performances, including a tour of the Americas held in four cities starting in Los Angeles on April 17, followed by Seoul, Bangkok, Manila, and Singapore.
Meanwhile, the fourth Japanese single album "HAPPY HAPPY" released on April 17 and the fifth single album "Breakthrough," released on Monday, recently won platinum record certification from the Recording Association of Japan. All of the albums released in Japan have risen to platinum records, continuing the new record for "achieve platinum for eight consecutive years."
TWICE is also focusing on preparing for its new album, including the filming of the music video for the new song.
