
ITZY, the "Monster Rookie," will make a
comeback on July 29, heralding its acceptance into the K-pop scene this summer.
JYP Entertainment made the announcement by posting two
group teasers of its new album, "IT'zICY, You Have I," on ITZY's SNS
channel on Saturday midnight.
According to the report, ITZY will releaseits new album
"IT'z ICY" at 6 p.m. on July 29, followed by pre-release of the music
video of the title song at midnight on July 29 and meet with fans.
The released teaser delivered coolness with the superior
visuals of the five ITZY members and a chubby, eye-catching charm. In
particular, Yeji, Leah, Liu Jin, Chaeryeong and Yuna, who boast the perfect
ratio, displayed their "root-level rookie-like" visuals by perfectly
showing ITZY's distinctive style and colorful and trendy concepts.
In addition, the phrase "IT'z ICY," meaning the
album's name in the teaser in question, also sparked curiosity about the
comeback as it implied a concept that would blow off the heat this summer.
ITZY, recognized as the hottest newcomer in the music
industry in 2019, released its first digital single "IT'z Different"
and title track "Dalla Dalla" on Feb. 12 this year. The debut

surpassed 10 million views in 18 hours after its release and exceeded 100
million views in 57 days, setting a record of "100 million views in the
shortest period" based on K-pop debut groups.
It also marked the birth of the song's "2019 Best Rookie" by setting a number of new records, including "No. 1 in terrestrial music broadcasting" based on K-pop girl groups and "Total Nine Gold Medalers in music broadcasting," including seven awards in terrestrial broadcasting.
