Girl group GFRIEND has entered the U.S. Billboard World Album Chart Top 10 with its new mini-album "FEVER SEASON."
Billboard's renowned columnist Jeff Benjamin posted an article in the CHART BEAT column section that said GFRIEND has returned to the world album chart TOP10 with "Fever Season."
Referring to GFRIEND's recent rise to No. 10 on the world album chart with "FEVER SEASON," Benjamin explained that it confirms that GFRIEND is consistently gaining high popularity among K-pop girl groups.
In particular, Benjamin stressed that GFRIEND is getting high marks on the charts, even though it spent the least amount of time promoting itself in the U.S. compared to other girl groups.
Moreover, this is the sixth time that GFRIEND has entered the world album chart TOP10, and GFRIEND is the only Korean girl group to have a spot on the world album chart TOP10 this week, drawing more attention.
GFRIEND earlier made its first entry into the world album chart with its third mini-album "Snowflake" in 2016 and its fourth mini-album "The Awakening" in 2017, marking the fifth-highest performance on the world album chart.
As such, GFRIEND has been a "global mainstream girl group" representing South Korea, showing steady growth in overseas charts beyond the home.
Meanwhile, GFRIEND will visit seven regions - Singapore, Bangkok, Thailand, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Indonesia, Manila, the Philippines, Taipei and Yokohama, Japan - for its second Asian tour, "Go GO GFRIEND!"
