BTS Tops FANNSTAR Group Ranking for 50 Consecutive Weeks… Fan Power Explodes Ahead of Comeback
[THE FACT | Reporter Choi Su-jeong] BTS has once again proven the overwhelming power of its global fandom by achieving a remarkable 50 consecutive weeks at No.1 on the weekly idol ranking platform FANNSTAR.
BTS secured first place with 3,173,396 votes in the FANNSTAR Group Ranking for the second week of March, held from the 9th to the 15th. PLAVE followed in second place with 342,391 votes, while Stray Kids ranked third with 272,139 votes.
FANNSTAR provides various billboard support benefits depending on an artist’s consecutive No.1 record. BTS previously secured a horizontal billboard in Wangsimni, Seoul after achieving 10 consecutive weeks at No.1, and later received advertising on the Hongdae Airport Railroad AM Board after reaching 30 consecutive weeks at No.1.
With the achievement of 50 consecutive weeks at No.1, a large-scale congratulatory video will be displayed on the Hongdae M Screen in Mapo-gu, Seoul. If BTS reaches 70 consecutive weeks, a celebration billboard will be shown at PELE in New York, and if they reach 100 consecutive weeks, a global support advertisement will appear on the COEX Mall 9TO9 CUBE billboard.
Meanwhile, BTS is further raising fans’ anticipation with their upcoming comeback. The group will release their fifth full-length album “ARIRANG” on March 20 at 1 PM. The album, executive-produced by Bang Si-hyuk, will feature 14 tracks reflecting the current identity of BTS.
The following day, on March 21, BTS will hold “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE｜ARIRANG” at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, marking the start of their comeback promotions. The performance will be broadcast live worldwide via Netflix.
