ITZY, the best rookie of the year, will make a comeback with "ICY," written and composed by Park Jin-young, the head of JYP Entertainment (JYP).

JYP drew attention by saying that ITZY will release its new album "IT'z ICY" at 6 p.m. on July 29 and release the music video of the title song in advance at midnight of July 29.

JYP released an image containing a tracklist of its new album "IT'z ICY" on ITZY's various SNS channels on Wednesday midnight and announced information on the title track and the songs.

According to the relevant tracklist, the title track "ICY" on the first track is expected as Park Jin-young is in charge of writing and compising.

It is all the more curious to see what synergy the first meeting between Park Jin-young (the "Hand of Midas")and ITZY (who made their debut with "DALLA DALLA,")will have.

"ICY" was Park Jin-young's first song to write and compose for ITZY, with talented producer and rapper Penomeco participating in rap making and songwriting. The song expresses ITZY's confidence that it will not be intimidated by other people's words and will confidently walk its way.

Besides this, the album "IT'z ICY" will feature three new songs—including "CHERRY" and "IT's SUMMER" -- as well as a total of five tracks—including the remix version of "DALLA DALLA" and "WANT IT?"

ITZY, which was predicted to be a sensation in the K-pop scene this summer, is focusing public attention on new songs and new concepts as content released prior to its comeback has been gathering the headlines day after day.

ITZY debuted on February 12 this year after releasing its first digital single "IT'z Different" and title track "DALLA DALLA." The debut song "DALLA DALLA" MV surpassed 10 million views in just 18 hours after its release and surpassed 100 million views in 57 days, setting a record of "the shortest period of 100 million views" based on K-pop debut groups. It also marked the birth of the song's "2019 Best Rookie" by setting a number of new records, including "No. 1 in terrestrial music broadcasting" based on K-pop girl groups and "Total Nine Gold Medalers in music broadcasting," including seven awards in terrestrial broadcasting.

In addition, the five members Yeji, Leah, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna revealed their special charm by presenting distinct characters, trendy and individualistic images and styles, and gave them an unorthodox powerful performance with their debut song "DALLA DALLA," earning the nickname "stage craftsmen." 

Meanwhile, ITZY's new album "IT'z ICY" and the title track "ICY" will be released on each music site at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
