Girl group GFriend topped the weekly album chart that went with its new album "Fever Season."
According to the 27-weekly (2019.06.30-2019.07.06) Gaon Chart released on Wednesday, GFriend topped the album chart with its seventh mini-album "FEVER SEASON" and the title track "FEVER" was honored as the No. 2 social chart.
Social charts, in particular, have confirmed GFriend's global popularity once again, as they have compiled data from YouTube, Twitter, and Inuit, a gauge of K-pop singers' global popularity.
In addition, GFriend broke its own record of 50,000 copies at the beginning with its new mini-album "FEVER SEASON."
Moreover, GFriend has also won three music shows by winning a series of first place titles in the Champions" and "M Countdown," and has set a milestone of 56 overall music shows since its debut, creating a heated "tropical night" craze.
The new mini-album "FEVER" is an album that expresses GFriend’s passion for performance, featuring a naturally grown GFriend, showing a more trendy and stylish charm.
The title track, "FEVER," is a comparison of the heat that won't cool down at night to tropical nights, and has garnered favorable reviews from music fans for its unique powerful sword dance, plus Phil and Swag.
Meanwhile, GFriend is scheduled to appear on KBS2's "Music Bank" today (May 12) to perform its new song "FEVER."
