Winner topped the music charts with their new song "AH YEAH," becoming a "Winner" in the summer music scene.
The title track "AH YEAH" from Winner's new mini album "WE" topped eight music charts, including Melon, Mnet, Naver, Olleh, Bugs, Soribada, Genie and Monkey 3, as of 8 a.m. May 16.
"AH YEAH" has been ranked No. 1 on the real-time charts of major music sites, boasting tremendous music-source power after it released.
In response, local media focused on WINNER's exceptional music record, saying Winner, who debuted in 2014, topped the Melon music chart, the country's largest music site, with the title track of all albums released over the past five years.
Starting with their debut title track "Empty," WINNER has released all the songs on the first album since debuting on the album " BABY BABY," "REALLY REALLY," "LOVE ME LOVE ME," "EVERYDAY" and "MILLIONS."
It also proved WINNER's global influence through iTunes worldwide. "WE" topped iTunes album charts in 19 regions, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam. The title track "AH YEAH" also tops iTunes charts in four regions.
The U.S. Billboard also highlighted the release of Winner's new album "WE." "The title song 'AH YEAH' portrays the painful breakup with a soft, vibrant melody and a cheerful atmosphere," Billboard said on May 15. "I'm impressed with the members' pleasant response to the serious breakup issue against the colorful image of the music video."
The music video for "AH YEAH," which is widely loved both at home and abroad, has now reached about 2.1 million views on YouTube.
Winner's "WE" album, which announced their successful comeback, can be seen at YG Select and other music stores nationwide and offline on May 17.
