Second Huge Achievement After Second Full Album Released Last Year

[The Fact | Reporter Jeong Byeong-geun] The group ENHYPEN has achieved the title of “Double Million Seller in the First Week of Release” (meaning selling more than 2 million copies in the first 7 days) with their new album.
According to Hanteo Chart on the 12th, ENHYPEN’s 6th mini album ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’, released on the 5th of this month, sold a total of 2,145,499 copies in the first week (from June 5 to 11).
Up to now, only 2 groups have achieved the title of “Double Million Seller” in the first week of this year, including ENHYPEN. Previously, SEVENTEEN with their 5th studio album “HAPPY BURSTDAY” released last month sold about 2.52 million copies in the first week.
ENHYPEN achieved this feat last year with their 2nd full album ‘ROMANCE : UNTOLD’, selling about 2.34 million copies in the first week, becoming the first “Double Million Seller” in their career. With this album, the group continues to set a new record, proving their increasing popularity.
“DESIRE : UNLEASH” also achieved high results on major charts in Japan. Specifically, the album ranked No. 1 on Oricon Japan in the categories: “Weekly General Album Chart” (week of June 16, from June 28), “Weekly Album Chart”, and “Weekly Digital Album Chart”. On the Billboard Japan chart released on June 11 (as of June 28), the album also took the top spot in “Top Album Sales”.
The album’s title track, ‘Bad Desire (With or Without You)’, also achieved impressive results when it debuted at No. 72 on the “Daily Top Songs Global” chart of the world’s largest streaming platform Spotify and is continuing to rise steadily.
ENHYPEN is expected to deliver an explosive performance on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ broadcast on the 12th.
