According to the chart preview article posted on the official homepage of Billboard, an American music media outlet, on the 8th (local time), SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino)'s 5th full-length album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' ranked 2nd (as of June 14th) on the main album chart, 'Billboard 200'.
This is the same record as their highest ranking with their 10th mini-album 'FML' and 11th mini-album 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN'. In addition, SEVENTEEN has placed 7 albums in the top 10 of the chart consecutively, from their 4th full-length album 'Face the Sun' released in May 2022 to their new album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' released on the 26th of last month.
'HAPPY BURSTDAY' sold 2,269,401 copies on the first day of release according to Hanteo Chart, and went straight to #1 on the daily album chart. The title song 'THUNDER' also entered the upper ranks of various music charts. Thanks to the balanced popularity of the album and the music, SEVENTEEN won #1 on SBS 'Inkigayo' on the 8th, achieving 5 crowns on music shows.
SEVENTEEN will communicate with fans through various content in addition to their new album activities. First, the second episode of 'Nana Minbak with SEVENTEEN' will be released simultaneously on tvN and Disney+ on the 9th. The full version will be available on Weverse on the 9th and 13th.
