[The FactㅣReporter Kim Saetbyul] Kyuhyun – a member of Super Junior and a solo singer – finally had to take a strong stance against malicious comments.
Kyuhyun's management company Antenna said on the 4th, "Recently, we have discovered many acts that have exceeded the limits of freedom of speech and violated the personality of artist Kyuhyun," and emphasized, "We are preparing strong legal actions based on data collected through reporting and monitoring."
Some opinions say that the cause originated from Kyuhyun's participation in the Netflix entertainment show "Devil's Plan: Death Room".
Previously, Kyuhyun formed a competition alliance with winner Jeong Hyun-gyu and actress Yoon So-Hui. However, during that process, he was criticized for his attitude that confused the audience, and some even questioned, "Is someone without a competitive spirit suitable to participate in the program?"
The management company added: “The current situation is causing concern about mental damage not only to the artists but also to the fans, due to malicious posts such as inciting disruption of activities, spreading false information, insulting, cursing, sexual harassment…”
They also affirmed: “We will continue to take legal action against any acts of defamation of the honor of the artists under the company in the future.”
